Meet the Laurel Asymmetric Jumper — made in Italy, and quite the loveliest thing to come through the door this season. It's a light, open knit with a soft V-neck and an easy oversized shape, cut properly long and finished with an asymmetric hem that falls lower on one side. And then there's the lace — a delicate scalloped trim following the whole diagonal edge, which is what lifts it from a nice jumper to a rather special one.

This one is made for leggings and boots — it's long enough to wear that way with complete confidence, and the side splits mean nothing catches or pulls. Lovely over slim jeans too, and beautiful over a slip skirt if you'd like the lace to have some company. The knit is light and open, so pop a vest or a fine long-sleeved top underneath for warmth. Keep jewellery simple — the hem is doing quite enough on its own.
